Meet Bethany and Greg. They are really good friends of mine. I stayed with them most of the time while I was on vacation and just had to get some shots of them out at their beautiful ranch house. They were married a week after us, so almost 3 years, and just by watching them you can see their love grow stronger everyday. I love them and these shots!

Casey's Senior Pictures

So I visited Michigan this past week. It was awesome. I had a blast and loved seeing my friends and family. While I was there I did a few photo shoots. This beautiful girl is my little sister Casey. She is almost a senior. I can't believe it. But she looks amazing and I couldn't be happier! It was about 30˚ out on this day, but she is a strong girl and was brave enough to tough it out.

Winter 2010!

What an adorable family! We first did some family pictures that turned out amazing! Then it was time for the kids... and boy were they ready. Matti Jo loved being in front of the camera and stuck a pose that melted my heart every time I pointed the camera toward her. Even though it was about 20˚in the canyon... they were such troopers. I also did a few engagement pictures for Lacy and Josh who are getting married in June and we plan on doing some more in the spring. So be watching out for those and some bridals from this stunning couple.

Welcome to our blog! For those of you who are new to Island Portraiture, please allow us to introduce ourselves. My husband and I have shared the passion of photography for as long as we have been married. We have been doing photography recreationally for years now, and finally decided to start a small business. We love working together to get beautiful portraits, both in studio and outdoors. We specialize in infants, all the way up to engagements and weddings. Whatever your occasion - we would love to share it with you!

We consider our photography to be more of a "journalistic" type. Meaning - although there are many occasions that warrant a more model type or pose, what we really love is catching the real smile and laugh of a child in our lens, or the candid moments when you can see the true love of a couple that still has that spark; being able to capture life's little moments as they happen in other words.

We are working hard to get our website up, and the other small details of what is sure to be an absolute adventure for us. We appreciate all of those who have helped us get to this point (you know who you are :) ), and we look forward to meeting more of you! We will post updates as soon as they become available.
